Long Barn Cottages were developed in 1997 by converting four traditional stone farm buildings into the very best luxury holiday accommodation. Each cottage has been carefully converted to ensure maximum comfort whilst retaining many original features such as exposed beams and stripped antique pine / flagstone floors. Each cottage has its own private garden or terrace and all four cottages share the use of a superb indoor heated swimming pool and games area.
There are four acres of grounds, including a large orchard with adventure play facilities for young children with trampoline, sandpit, swings and space for football, cricket or even a picnic.
This small but prestigious holiday cottage development is located in the sleepy rural hamlet of North Whilborough just three miles from Torquay and close to Dartmoor and the superb beaches of the South Hams. The cottages offer a paradise to walkers and nature lovers or families seeking a peaceful holiday retreat in South Devon. The nearest shops are one and a half miles away and the nearest pub just half a mile. Golf is available within two miles and there is horse riding on Dartmoor.
