Leigh Holiday Cottages are located on East Devon’s Jurassic coast, within the quiet secluded hamlet of Weston. The family-owned cottages are just three miles from the popular Regency seaside resort of Sidmouth and two miles from the pretty village of Branscombe.
Weston and the surrounding land is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and much of the beautiful coastline is managed by the National Trust. The cottages are in an enviable position just 150 yards from a scenic NT valley, which steeply drops down to the shingle beach at Weston and the South West coastal paths, providing wonderful walking opportunities. They are also very close to the Donkey Sanctuary.
There are panoramic views from Weston Cliff to Portland and Chesil Beach to the East, and to Teignmouth, the South Hams and Brixham to the West. This beautiful unspoilt part of East Devon is a haven for nature-lovers, bird watchers and cyclists, and Leigh Cottages provide a relaxing and friendly base from which to explore the beautiful rolling Devon countryside and coastline. Here, you will discover dramatic cliff-top views, picturesque villages and harbours and many quiet beaches where you can relax or fish.
Leigh Holiday Cottages offers eight single-storey holiday cottages which are all 4-star graded, by the national ’Visit Britain’ award scheme. There are four family cottages, which sleep four to five guests, and four smaller cottages, each sleeping two. Each one is tastefully furnished and fully-equipped for self-catering, with a high standard of comfort and cleanliness. All the cottages face south onto garden areas and well-kept lawns, with individual patios. Private parking is adjacent to, or nearby, each cottage and there is also a separate Visitors’ Parking area.
The Leighs is level and very private, and has only one entrance and exit. There is a permanent Warden who lives on site and can take care of any questions you may have to ensure your holiday is relaxing and memorable.

Seagull, Puffin, Sandpiper and Avocet have recently been completely refitted to a very high standard.
Seagull has two bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other with a single bed. The kitchen has an integrated fridge, ceramic hob with extractor fan, electric oven and a microwave oven. The bathroom is fully tiled with a walk-in glass shower enclosure with a seat, under floor heating, a heated towel rail and an extractor fan. Hair dryers and irons are provided. The living area has comfortable armchairs, a wall-mounted flat-screen colour television, radio/CD player, a DVD player, and a breakfast bar with high stools. All windows and doors are double-glazed, and there is thermostatically controlled electric heating throughout.
Puffin, Sandpiper and Avocet are perfect for couples and have one double bedroom and a larger living/kitchen area. The kitchen is fully-equipped with an integrated fridge, ceramic hob with extractor fan, electric oven and a microwave oven. The bathroom is fully tiled with an enclosed walk-in shower cubicle with seat, underfloor heating, a heated towel rail and an extractor fan. Hair driers and irons are provided. The living area has comfortable modern seating, a wall-mounted flat-screen colour television, a radio/CD player, DVD player, a breakfast bar, table and chairs. All windows and doors are double-glazed, and there is thermostatically controlled electric heating throughout.
Additional information: On-site there is a communal laundry with two washing machines and a tumble drier. Each cottage has its own private south-facing patio with a table and chairs, well established and colourful planting/trellis screening. The four cottages share an enclosed lawn and garden area, ideal for small children. Please note that no smoking is allowed in the cottages. Dogs are very welcome but are not allowed in ‘Avocet’. Bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided; electric used is paid for at the end of each stay from individual meter readings. There is free Wi-Fi internet access.
