Langford Court South is located in Devon and is a wing of an exceptionally beautiful thatched medieval manor house. It is approached by a long drive which leads into the garden where parking is available by the front door.
Langford court is steeped in history and appears in the Domesday book. The wing is primarily Tudor and overlooks the gardens and lake (free fishing available on the home ponds). The accommodation is of great character and sleeps two to six guests in two beautiful four poster bedrooms. There is also an additional room available upon request to accommodate parties of six.
Centrally heated throughout and furnished to a very high standard, Langford Court South provides the ultimate rural retreat which is ideal for either couples wanting a cosy romantic getaway or families looking to holiday in the country. Langford Court is still a working dairy farm where you can enjoy watching the cows graze in the fields beyond the lake.
The surrounding area is peaceful and quiet and offers beautiful views over the rolling Devon countryside, yet this location is easily accessed being only three miles from junction 28 of the M5. It is perfect if you want to escape the pressures of every day life and enjoy relaxing or exploring the local countryside by foot. Alternatively, it is a good base for exploring the area. The City of Exeter (twenty minutes by car) provides a number of attractions and great shopping opportunities. Both the dramatic landscape of Dartmoor and the wooded valleys of Exmoor are too within easy reach, as are some lovely beaches including the spectacular Jurassic coastline.
For those who want to truly relax, why not indulge yourself and book a holistic therapy treatment either at the house or at a treatment room just a mile away (therapies available: Reiki, Hopi Ear Candling, Reflexology, EFT ( Emotional Freedom Technique) and face, hands and foot massage.
