Godford Farm is in an ideal location for visiting Devon and also West Somerset and Dorset. It is just over two miles from the market town of Honiton and ten miles from the popular coastal resort of Sidmouth and the beautiful Jurassic Coastline.
There are no shortage of things to do and see with many pretty little villages (some boasting great pubs) scattered around. Within one hour you will be on the rugged moorlands of Dartmoor and Exmoor (providing endless opportunities for walkers) and the dramatic North Devon coastline (great for watersports and surfing) is one and a quarter hours. Alternatively visit the South Devon coast which offers calmer more gentle seas and sandy beaches.
Godford Farm itself offers one hundred and twenty five acres of farmland which guests are welcome to explore, with an interesting landscape of meadows, streams, claypits and traditional hedgerows. The area is a haven for wildlife (deer, rabbits, foxes, hares, badgers, bats etc) and also ideal if you enjoy birdwatching (rare white egrets, duck, woodpeckers, pheasant, owls etc).
The Cottages have lovely views over the Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which is designated as an area unique for it small farmsteads, unspoilt character and worthy of preserving its heritage. This area is renowned for its local foods and produce and offers many good eating places including village pubs, restaurants and wine bars. There is a pub just half a mile away in village or another within one and a half miles. You can also arrange to have an award winning breakfast in the farmhouse (by prior arrangement) and escape cooking duties during your holiday!

The owners aim is to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible which includes a welcome hamper with local produce upon arrival. You can also be sure that the cottages are pet and smoke free.
Godford Farm offers two barn conversion cottages which are fully equipped with everything that you will need for an enjoyable holiday. They are both pet and smoke free and comprise:
One double bedroom.
One twin bedded room.
Upstairs bathroom.
Shaker light oak kitchens with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer.
Sitting rooms with television (with Freeview), video player, DVD player and French doors leading onto a sunny patio, lawned area and aromatic flower beds. Gas BBQ available for summer suppers.
There is a games barn for guests use with pool, table tennis and bar skittles.
Additional information: As an optional extra you can enjoy a 5 course award winning breakfast in the farmhouse. Cot and highchair on request. All linens and towels and flannels are included, also electricity. There are no hidden extra costs. Car parking is by the front garden gate. Please enquire if you want an organic veg box or groceries delivered. Unfortunately no pets or smoking. WIFI is available in each cottage by arrangement.
Whether you choose self-catering or self-catering with breakfast, Godford Farm provides an excellent place to have a family holiday, with beautiful rural views over rolling Devon countryside. It is also easily accessible being just five minutes from the A30/A35, twelve minutes from the M5 (J28) or fifteen mins from the A303. The farm is equal distance from Exeter, Taunton and Tiverton, making it an ideal base from which to explore the many delights that this area has to offer.
Short breaks of three night weekends and four night from Monday are also available.
