Located in the pretty South Devon village of Marldon, the cottages are ideal for couples, families or friends and provide a perfect base from which to explore Devon's beautiful countryside with award winning beaches, charming little villages and historic towns including Dartmouth, Totnes, Torquay, Exeter and Plymouth.
This is the perfect place to relax and unwind where guests can enjoy the shared use of the charming garden with sundeck and outdoor heated swimming pool available from the end of May to mid September.
The pretty ancient village of Marldon is featured in several Devon walking guides with its quiet beautiful lanes, rolling countryside, ancient Church and Church House Inn (voted Best Pub in Devon 2013) which is within walking distance of the cottages. The surrounding countryside is ideal for walkers and cyclists who will be captivated by the flora and fauna and can enjoy the coastal walks with wonderful views.
Venture a little further afield and explore the wonders of Dartmoor, a stunning moorland landscape with wooded valleys, pretty villages and windswept Tors - a haven for wildlife with some six hundred miles of tracks and trails and just a short car ride away.
Some of the cleanest and safest sandy beaches in the country are also within easy driving distance including Blackpool Sands and the beaches at Brixham, Torquay and Paignton. The area has National Trust properties including nearby Compton Castle, Buckland Abbey, Coleton Fishacre and Greenway, Agatha Christie’s house. Attractions including Babbacombe Model Village, Bygones which takes you back in time, Paignton and South Devon Steam Railways, Woodlands Leisure Park and Kents Caverns to name just a few. Occombe Farm is also on the doorstep - a free attraction with farm shop.

Accommodation comprises:
- Open plan sitting/dining area with contemporary kitchen offering co-ordinated furniture, light beach timber units, oven, hob, microwave and table with four chairs for dining. The sitting area has comfortable leather seating, Freeview television and DVD player.
- Light and airy double and twin bedrooms on the first floor along with a shower room.
Outside: Guests are welcome to enjoy the delightful secluded garden with outdoor solar heated swimming pool, sun deck and loungers. The swimming pool is open from the end of May to mid September (subject to weather and at the owner’s discretion).The garden has immense character with mature trees, shrubs and local granite dry stone walls. Across the road is a park where children can play on the swings and slides.
Additional information: Free wireless internet access. There is a communal laundry room for the shared use of guests with coin operated washing machine, tumble dryer, washing lines for drying and a freezer for extra food storage. Linen for use in the cottage is provided including, towels and tea towels (please bring your own beach and pool towels) and electricity and heating are included within the price, along with a supply of environmentally friendly products. Welcome pack provided for arrival. No smoking in the cottages. Unfortunately no dogs in Bluebell Cottage (dogs are accepted in Rose and Primrose Cottages - see separate adverts). Cots, baby bath, high chairs, stair gate and baby monitor can be provided free of charge. Changeover day is Saturday from June to October and flexible from October to June.
