White Witches is a pretty thatched holiday cottage situated in the depths of beautiful countryside within Mid-Devon on a 273 acre family run farm. It is perfectly positioned by the river and is the quintessential chocolate box cottage when the garden is in glorious full bloom. It has recently been updated but still retains much of its original character and is an ideal country retreat for families or couples looking to escape to the country.  Whether you are looking for a short break or a longer holiday, the owners will be happy to accommodate you and if you want a real rest, breakfast can also be offered in the farmhouse.  Your dog is also welcome (for a small additional charge), making this a great location for the whole family!

Centrally positioned, the holiday cottage is an ideal base for visiting the many attractions and places of interest this area has to offer.  The landscape is incredibly varied where you can enjoy the dramatic landscape of Dartmoor to the rolling coombes of Exmoor, and the long sandy beaches of the rugged North coast to the quaint fishing villages and hidden coves of the South coast - there truly is something for everyone.

Country and outdoor pursuits are popular in this part of Devon with many shoots and other outdoor activities in the area.  In spring point-to-points can be experienced locally and in autumn there are local ploughing matches providing fun for the whole family.  For those who enjoy walking, there are some bracing walks locally which will set you up well to sample the local food on offer and the nearest pub is just half a mile away and within walking distance.

White Witches has an enclosed lawned garden with a picnic table and chairs and plenty of space for children to let off some steam and adults to relax. A gate leads to open fields where at times the owners sheep can be seen wandering by and there is a river where you can stroll along its banks and watch the wildlife, herons, ducks or you may be lucky to see a kingfisher. There are a wide variety of different birds to spot including buzzards, little owls and even a barn owl. There are also breakfast size trout in the river should you bring your fishing rod with you and be lucky enough to catch one!
