Catherine's Cottage is an outstanding period country cottage which provides self catering holiday accommodation in a beautiful rural location just a short distance from the sea. The cottage is situated in the popular picturesque South Hams area of Devon, between Dartmouth and Salcombe, and just outside the village of Stokenham. Stokenham is close to Kingsbridge and is listed as an area of outstanding natural beauty with a wealth of excellent pubs and fine restaurants to enjoy.
Old Cotmore Farm is home to Catherine's Cottage and also two other holiday cottages. Its history dates back to the 16th century and it stands in it's own grounds of some twenty two acres which includes the owners barn and a small touring caravan park. The popular beaches at Torcross, Slapton Sands and Beesands are connected by a costal path which is only 1 mile from the farm and cottages.
This area is a true haven for walking and bird watching. Outside the main season the cottages are available to rent for short breaks and romantic weekends and all three cottages have a private garden and are children and dog friendly. With log fires in the winter and BBQ's in the summer, this is the perfect holiday retreat all year round.
The cottages are an ideal base for family holidays with many activities and attractions available including: sailing, fishing, golf, wind surfing and boating.
All three cottages are fully equipped and have recently been refurbished and decorated to a high standard of comfort and style. The cottages are attached so larger parties of up to 15 people can be accomodated.

Catherine's Cottage (sleeps 8-10 guests) was the original farmhouse and today it still retains a great deal character and charm. It has now been restored, decorated and furnished to a high standard in a courtyard setting and provides the following accommodation and facilities:
Ground floor and outside area
Charming Lounge with oak beams and lovely large inglenook fireplace with log burning stove - ideal for curling up in front of on those more chilly nights! There is also a TV and music centre.
Fitted dining kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer.
Cloakroom with WC and washing machine adjacent.
Private garden with BBQ and furniture.
Small second lounge with sofa bed (for accommodating two further guests or visitors).
First floor
Double bedroom with four poster bed and en-suite shower room and TV.
Twin bedroom with en-suite shower room.
Small twin bedroom.
Second Floor
Impressive double bedroom within the roof space revealing lots of original beams and rafters.
Fully fitted modern bathroom.
Additional information: Pets are welcome. There is Wi-fi internet access in the cottage. Short breaks may be available out of season - please enquire with the owner. Baby sitting is available. 25% discount is offered off green fees at Bigbury Golf Club (see photo below). Electricity, heating and a welcome basket of logs included within the price. Towels not supplied so please bring your own. Bedlinen can be provided for an additional charge.
