Bank Cottage is a very pretty thatched holiday cottage that nestles in the idyllic South Hams in the lovely village of Tuckenhay on Bow Creek. Bank Cottage is the quintessential grade II listed thatched cottage which has a charming courtyard garden next to a turbulent stream.

Inside under the thatched roof is an inviting hideaway that will accommodate up to three guests in two bedrooms and is sure to delight.

This unique area of outstanding natural beauty is particularly popular with sailors and fishermen along with those of an artistic nature and who enjoy peace and tranquillity in a truly beautiful rural environment.

Delightful riverside villages such as Tuckenhay, Dittisham, Ashprington and Stoke Gabriel in the heart of the South Hams make this area unique. Unspoilt tree banks, secret coves with countryside sweeping down to the river have been an inspirational to many.

Walkers, ornithologists and photographers can enjoy the delights of the river, estuary and countryside and boat trips upriver from Dartmouth will take you to Totnes with its winding streets, historic town walls and ancient castle. There are no less than four traditional pubs within comfortable walking distance. Just a short stroll will bring you to the Malsters Arms (once owned by celebrity chef Keith Flloyd) which has regular barbecues on the quayside with stunning views up the creek. Just five minutes further you will find the Watermans Arms which was voted number six in the Sunday Times Best Days Out.

Easy access and close proximity to the most important places make this the perfect location. Tuckenhay which has been described in the South Devon Tourist Guide as "Particularly Picturesque" is often referred to as "Devon's Best Kept Secret".

There are numerous riverside walks closeby and the beautiful Dart Valley Trail is on the doorstep or you may wish to enjoy a day on the river and take a boat trip between the lovely towns of Totnes and Dartmouth. The renowned Sharpham Vineyard and Cheesery are within walking distance where you may walk the estate and sample award winning wines. The award winning unspoilt beaches of Slapton Sands and Blackpool Sands are a short drive away along with the waterside towns of Salcombe and Kingsbridge.
