Slatters Cottage is a luxury Grade II listed holiday cottage with an immense amount of character, that is situated in a quiet country lane in the Cotswold village of Bourton-on-the-Hill. It is ideal for those looking for a cosy romantic retreat or, in fact, anyone who is looking for a delightful base to use for walking/touring the Cotswolds and its many attractions.
Bourton-on-the-Hill is an attractive village, situated less than two miles from the market town of Moreton-in-Marsh. Made up predominantly of 17th and 18th Century Cotswold stone cottages, the village has an excellent gastro-pub that is within walking distance of Slatters Cottage and a beautiful 12th Century Church.
Located in the North Cotswolds, Bourton-on-the-Hill is ideally situated to act as a central base for visiting the many wonderful sites in the area from Warwick and Stratford-on-Avon to the North to Cheltenham and Bath to the South. The beauty spots of Broadway, Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water, Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the-Wold and "The Slaughters", amongst others, are also nearby.
Local amenities include the renowned gastropub, The Horse and Groom and Bourton House and Gardens. To either side of the village there is farmland, running down to the Batsford Arboretum and the Cotswold Falconry Centre.

Slatters Cottage provides luxury accommodation with a wealth of character. Downstairs the stone walled lounge has an exposed beamed ceiling and a large inglenook fireplace with log burning stove and window seat, making it ideal at any time of the year.
Recently redecorated and refurbished, the cottage is furnished to a wonderfully high standard and offers the following facilities.
On the ground floor is the kitchen, the lounge/dining area with a colour television, Freeview box with digital radio, DVD player, CD/MP3 player with radio and an adjoining toilet and utility room. The cottage is fully equipped with a gas cooker, fridge with freezer section, separate freezer, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer and gas central heating.
Upstairs there is a double bedroom (5' pocket sprung mattress) with television and one single bedroom, sleeping up to three guests (plus baby in travel cot). There are lovely views over the village and the surrounding landscape, and the toilet/bathroom has bath with shower-over-bath.
Additional information: There is a payphone and you can get mobile reception (dependent upon your network). There is off-road parking directly outside the cottage for one car and further parking is always available on the road directly opposite the cottage. A travel cot and high chair can be provided at no extra cost. All bedding, linen (apart from travel cot) and towels are provided free of charge. Smoking is not allowed in the cottage.
Please note: The stairs to the first floor are a little steep and thus the cottage may not be suitable for the infirm or toddlers.
