Odd Cottage is perfectly placed in a quiet lane within the pretty village of Oddington with its 11th-century Norman church and two fantastic pubs serving excellent food. Over 300 years old, it provides a warm, luxurious and tranquil base for exploring the Cotswolds.
Stow on the Wold with its interesting shops, antiques and galleries plus many fine inns and bistros is just a short drive away (under five minutes) and there are plenty of places to visit within the area including the historical Blenheim Palace at Woodstock and Sudeley Castle at Winchcombe, which is steeped in History and was once the home to Queen Katherine Parr.
Treat the whole family to a unique experience at the Cotswolds Farm Park at Guiting Power and also the Cotswold Wildlife Park at Burford, which offers something for the children and also the garden enthusiasts with its one hundred and twenty acres of landscaped parkland and spectacular gardens.
Visit the finest Romano-British villa in Britain - Chedworth Roman Villa at Northleach, and it is also worth visiting the famous Shakespeare Houses in Stratford, which include Harvard House, Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, Mary Arden’s House and Shakespeare’s Birthplace, Hall Croft.
If walking is your pastime you won’t be disappointed as there are plenty of different walks to choose from. You could explore parts of the sixty mile North Cotswold’s Diamond Way; venture up the North Cotswold’s Outliers Hills near Winchcombe or discover the beautiful Seven Springs near Coberley.
For something more energetic why not hire a bike at Cotswolds Country Cycles at Chipping Campden and explore the beautiful Cotswolds villages.
