2 Manor Farm Cottages is a chic, contemporary yet cosy holiday cottage that beautifully combines both character with modern technology (flat screen TVs, DAB digital radios, DVD/CD players and IPOD docking stations). It has a lovely large wood-burning stove which is ideal for curling up in front of on those more chilly nights and a large luxury freestanding roll top bath where you can truly relax and unwind. The cottage also benefits from a modern wetroom which has an invigorating rose head shower and the overall standard of comfort and style throughout is very high, ensuring your every need is met during your stay.
Built from locally quarried Cotswold stone in the Arts and Crafts style at the turn of the century, the cottage was designed by the famous architect Guy Dawbar. It boasts beautiful period features, in particular, characterful stone mullion windows throughout. Set in over an acre of secluded grounds, there is a large patio, lawn and orchard, all providing ideal places for relaxing on a sunny day or alfresco dining.
The cottage boasts far reaching views of the surrounding countryside allowing guests to feel as though they are truly escaping the pressures of every day life. Yet it is within easy reach of the popular historic market town of Stow-on-the-Wold. Stow is steeped in history and offers art galleries, antique shops, gift shops, gastropubs, traditional pubs serving local ales, tea shops, delis, restaurants and even the oldest pub in England!
For outdoor enthusiasts you can try your hand at clay pigeon shooting or enjoy a walk across footpaths from the cottage to the picturesque villages of Upper and Lower Slaughter or beyond to Bourton-on-the-Water. The Heart of England Way runs very close to the cottage.
Alternatively you can take a short drive from the cottage to Bourton-on-Water, the Slaughters and also Burford, Snowshill Manor and Lavender Farm, Donnington Trout Farm, Sudeley Castle, Moreton-in-Marsh and Batsford Arboretum.
A little further afield is Chipping Camden, Broadway, Stratford-upon-Avon, Cheltenham, Warwick Castle and you can even take a day trip to Bath.
To taste the fresh local produce try the Farmers’ Markets at Bourton, Stow and Moreton as well as the famous Daylesford Organic Farm Shop which is just four miles away and is no ordinary farm shop! Daylesford Organic also provides excellent modern spa facilities and a restaurant.
There is plenty to do in this area for both adults and children. The Cotswold Wildlife Park hosts an extensive collection of native and worldwide animals and is a great day out for all the family. Cotswold Farm Park can be found at Guilting Power close to Stow and Birdland Park and Gardens, Cotswold Motoring Museum and Toy Collection and the Model Railway Exhibition can all be found at Bourton-on-the-Water. Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Steam Railway provides a thirteen mile round trip through the local countryside and is based at Toddington.

Fully fitted kitchen with underfloor heating, cooker, electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher and all the crockery and other kitchenware a cook could possibly need. The decorative AGA remains from the days when the cottage was heated by oil, but cannot now be used.
Cloakroom with WC.
Spacious dual aspect living room with dining area. Two large sofas around a coffee table in front of a large wood-burning stove which is perfect for curling up in front of on colder evenings. There is a 42” LCD TV with built-in freeview; DVD/CD player, IPOD docking station and selection of DVD's available for adults and children.
Large solid oak dining table which seats six.
Upstairs:
Bedroom one has a Superking size bed with Egyptian cotton linen, chest of drawers, wardrobe, desk and chair, LCD TV with built in freeview, DVD player, IPOD docking station and black-out blinds.
Bedroom two has two single beds with Egyptian cotton linen, chest of drawers, separate cupboard with hanging space, airing cupboard, LCD TV, DVD/CD player and black-out blinds.
Bathroom one has a luxury large freestanding roll top bath where you can relax and unwind whilst enjoying the gardens at the rear of the property. There is also a washbasin, underfloor heating and a heated towel rail.
Bathroom two is a luxury modern wetroom with invigorating rose head shower, washbasin and WC.
Outside: At the front of the property is a small patio area with table and chairs. At the rear is a large secluded patio with a table and chairs, lawn area, orchard, pond and mood lighting. Guests also have the use of a Weber BBQ along with the herbs from the herb garden.
Additional information: Babysitting services available by arrangement - please ask for details. Taxi services and a maid service can be provided by arrangement. The cottage benefits from underfloor heating. Egyptian cotton towels are provided. Electricity, heating and linen are included within the price. Changeover day is normally Friday but can be flexible. High chairs, stair gates and cot are available.
