Situated on the Stow Road (A429), within the grounds of The Inn at Fossebridge, Lakeside House is a historic hostelry dating back to the 17th Century with Georgian additions. Excellent traditional food, beers and wine are served daily.
The accommodation is very spacious and can sleep up to ten guests in three double rooms and one with four single beds.
The Inn at Fossebridge is between the Gloucestershire towns of Cirencester and Northleach, within a dip on the A429. It is surrounded by the estates of the Vestey and Bathurst families, acres upon acres of grassland, their heritage steeped in the days of the wool trade … and still quintessential farming country. The Inn at Fossebridge is located in the small village of Fossebridge within the parish of Chedworth … the first building recorded on the site was in 1634 when it was acquired by the local Dutton family.
Historians say the house may have later become the inn, though much of the present building is from the 18th century. Indeed the Inn had opened by 1759 and was then known at Lord Chedworth’s Arms, a name recalled in the wonderful old bar that still exists today; the name was changed to Fossebridge Inn in the early 19th century.

We have had a great weekend with you, the cottage was lovely just the right size for all of us, I'm sure we'll be back. (N Curry, November 2010)
Fantastic weekend in a cosy cottage. Boys loved the gardens as did our lab Cilla! Thank you. (January 2012)
“Gorgeous place. Plenty of room to play family games, stunning walks, scrumptous food at the Inn at Fossebridge. We’ll be making it our base for, hopefully, many more family occasions.” ( January 2012)
Lakeside House was beautiful and we couldn’t have asked for more from the location, the cottage itself, and all the facilities provided. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was lovely being able to enjoy the privacy of a cottage along with the option of a good pub lunch or social drink on our doorstep at the lovey Inn at Fossebridge. The cottage was well equipped and perfect for our requirements. We would love to come back again. (January 2012)
We had a wonderful stay at the Inn. The house was perfect for our family’s needs and gave us a safe haven after our exploring jaunts through your beautiful part of the world. It was well equipped, beds very comfy and we greatly appreciated your help with the christmas tree, our parcel etc etc. Thank you all again for your efforts to ensure our comfort. (Christmas 2011)
Lovely Cosy Cottage, nothing missing, pub food well organised. Thank you very much (December 2011)
We stayed here for my hen party and had a brilliant time. Lovely rooms, beautiful setting, spotlessly clean, fluffy towels and an amazing fire! Loved our time here – BRILL! (November 2011)
