Each of the timber framed barns at The Old Farm are named after a local cider apple and were originally used for cider making. They are set around the old farm yard leading on to paddocks and woodland, with the owners farmhouse nearby (just in case you have any queries). They have been carefully restored and offer comfortable, well equipped accommodation, yet retaining many of their original features, including a wealth of beams. The holiday cottages are maintained to the highest possible standard and each offers lots of individual charm.
When you arrive you will find the cottages clean, with fresh bed linen and towels provided. Your welcome tray will enable you to sit and have a cup of tea with a home made cake before unpacking your car.
The cottages are warm (full central heating) and welcoming with a fire in the lounge (logs provided in cottages with log burning stoves November to March).
The kitchens are equipped with everything you could possibly want including a microwave, dishwasher and washing machine with tumble dryer.Lounges have a remote control colour television, video recorder and music centre.
When the sun shines you will be able to sit outside in your own enclosed patio area where garden furniture and barbeque is provided. There is also a large well equipped play area and dog walking paddock for guests use.

Eggleton Styre has been newly refurbished in Spring 2010 and is ideal for a romantic break with space for the children. It has one double bedroom with a four poster bed, an en-suite shower room (with large shower cubicle with steam), a bathroom with a double ended whirl pool bath and a second bedroom with twin beds. Eggleton Styre has a separate kitchen and dining room with its beamed ceiling and additional sitting area. The cosy lounge benefits from a "coal burning" stove (gas fired) - with all the romance of a real fire you will have none of the work.
Children and dogs are most welcome in any of the cottages (notification is required at the point of booking). There is no additional charge for dogs and an excercise paddock on the farm is provided.
Horse and pony rides are often available at the farm and it may be possible to use the owners small above ground pool - please enquire with the owner. Dog and baby sitting services are available.
Parking for up to two cars is provided near each cottage. Further parking is available at the front of the farmhouse. The cottage is are non smoking but guests are welcome to smoke in the outside area. There is some flexibility over changeover day - please enquire with the owner. There is Sky television provided.
