Christmas Cottage – special at any time of year - has been renovated and finished to a very high standard creating a stylish comfortable place to stay in the heart of the historic Cotswolds' Town of Tetbury - one of the jewels in the Cotswolds' crown.

Furnished with a high level of attention to detail, you will find quality sofas, antiques, silks in curtaining, bed coverings, posh toiletries, thick towels and bathrobes, all to make your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.

When you arrive, a welcome tray is provided with homemade cake left ready to enjoy in front of the wood burner. There will also be a hamper of quality provisions including organic coffee beans, fresh artisan loaf and Highgrove organic fresh vegetables.

The cottage is warm and inviting with each room being lovingly and carefully co-ordinated by the owner who has spent years bringing old houses ‘back to life’ and running her own interior furnishing business.

Christmas Cottage is situated on a once busy thoroughfare, but now gated at one end, it is a quiet backwater which is perfectly positioned just a minutes walk from the old market hall within the heart of Tetbury’s historic town centre. You also have rolling open countryside on the door step just waiting to be explored.

This unspoilt Cotswold town has been made famous by its royal connection with Highgrove, the home of HRH Prince Charles. It is the perfect place for ‘chilling’ in stylish street cafes where you can watch the world go by whilst enjoying a coffee. Alternatively, browse the interesting little shops for posh frocks, books, antiques, musical instruments, home interiors or gifts. Last but not least, a visit to the towns very own unique Highgrove shop is a must with gifts for everyone.

Many bistros, restaurants and pubs make your eating experience varied in Tetbury where you can eat in a different pub every night!! Also, there is no driving home afterwards as the cottage is just a stroll away.

Christmas Cottages location is very peaceful with the only noise being the rooks in the old pines opposite, and the bedrooms are flooded with sunlight by day and quiet of a night.

Tetbury and Christmas Cottage make an ideal combination for that romantic short break away. Right outside the cottage you can walk through a pretty ‘green’ once the old cattle market which leads you off into open countryside.

Alternatively, explore the Cotswolds with its many delights including Westonbirt Arboretum which is just ten minutes away, passing Prince Charles’ door on route; Castle Coombe, a thirty minute drive; the Roman City of Bath, a must to visit and just forty five minutes away; the lovely small town of Minchinhampton, a ten minute drive with a large expanse of common land where cattle roam, along with golf course, good food pub with amazing views and nearby is Gatcombe Park (home of another royal, HRH Princess Anne); Nailsworth, just fifteen minutes with its nice shops and places to eat; Circencester, again fifteen minutes with its Roman links; Bibury, described by William Morris as 'the most beautiful village in England' and just twenty five minutes away; Burford with its quaint town, great selection of interesting shops and fantastic garden centre and the Upper and Lower Slaughters, quintessential little stone villages amongst beautiful Cotswolds countryside.
