Sydenham Farm Cottages offers four tastefully newly renovated holiday barns that are located on a non-working farm between the lovely Cotswolds villages of Broadwell (one mile) and Oddington (just over one mile). They are also just a short distance from the popular historic market town of Stow-on-the-Wold (just over two and a half miles).
These fantastic honey coloured stone barn conversions are in the heart of the Cotswolds and offer a truly peaceful retreat, accessed along a sweeping driveway and set amongst beautiful countryside. Each barn benefits from having its own outside area where you can relax and dine al fresco or enjoy a cup of coffee in the sunshine. There is plenty of room for the children to let off steam and for dogs to stretch their legs (there is a possibility of livestock in the neighbouring fields), along with plenty of parking.
With a choice of four cottages, there is something to suit parties of two to five guests individually or larger parties if more than one cottage is hired at the same time. The cottages provide the perfect base from which to explore the Cotswolds either by foot or by car. Stow-on-the-Wold is only a short drive away with its shops, pubs, restaurants, bistros, deli, butcher, fashion boutiques, bakers, organic shop, chocolate shop and a Tesco on the outskirts of the town. The quintessential English villages of Kingham, Bledington, The Slaughters, Bourton-on-the-Water and The Swells are a short distance away and Broadway and Chipping Campden are too within easy reach - all regarded as some of the prettiest chocolate box village locations in the country!
Cheltenham and Oxford are within an hour where you can absorb some culture with the literary and jazz festivals, a theatre production or live screenings of opera from New York. The beautiful City of Bath also makes a fantastic day out, with its stunning architecture and Roman Spa Thermae. Another great adventure for the day, is to have morning coffee in Cirencester and head onto Tetbury for lunch and a stroll around, followed by a visit to Westonbirt Arboretum. Stratford-upon-Avon is just forty minutes by car with its great shops, restaurants and the wonderful new Shakespeare theatre. You can also visit many beautiful National Trust properties and gardens including Hidcote Manor, Blenheim Palace, Sudely Castle, Sherborne Estate, Chastleton House, Snowshill Manor and many more!

The Old Stables is adjacent to The Old Barn and is a great base from which to explore the Cotswolds.
As you enter the front door you have the hallway with limed exposed beams throughout and a tiled floor for your boots and hooks under the stairs to hang coats.
Off the hallway is the cosy snug area where you can watch the television at night or curl up on the leather sofas on a chilly day, in front of the electric fire, with a good book.
Upstairs is the family bathroom with shower over bath and a Velux window providing plenty of light.
The kitchen is a good size with a dining table and chairs to sit and enjoy meals whilst looking over the fields.
There is a light double bedroom with a large Velux window - the bed is against the wall which is why the owner's suggest this barn as suitable for three to four guests).
Further along the corridor is a twin bedroom with beds that can be pushed together. This again is a lovely and light room with Velux windows set into the ceiling eaves and featured limed beams.
