Acer Cottage can accommodate up to five guests and is a family home, ideally located within a residential area of the pretty market town of Chipping Campden within the Cotswolds. Conveniently located within a five minute walk of the town centre, the cottage benefits from having a good selection of interesting little shops, restaurants, hotels and pubs nearby.
Although relatively new, Acer Cottage is built of local stone, in the traditional Cotswold style. With beamed ceilings, views over open countryside (at the rear of the property) and comfortable spacious accommodation, it provides an ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds and its many attractions.
Chipping Campden is one of the most delightful, unspoilt Cotswold towns, with its beautiful honey coloured buildings dating from the 14th to the 17th Centuries. It is a small market town built largely by the wealth from the wool trade and offers a large variety of good restaurants, pubs and hotels offering both traditional English and international cuisine.
There are numerous places to visit within easy reach of Acer Cottage including the towns of Stratford-Upon-Avon, Royal Leamington Spa, Cheltenham and the historic market towns of Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton in Marsh. Other popular Cotswold villages include Bourton on the Water, Broadway and The Slaughters. Popular attractions include Sudeley Castle, Costwold Wild Life Park, Warwick Castle, Hidcote Manor Gardens and Snowshill Manor to name just a few.
For the more energetic, cycles can be hired locally in the town and walkers can explore the North Cotswold Diamond Way and the Costwold Way National Trail, which is a walk from Chipping Campden along the Costwold escapement to the regency city of Bath! For those less ambitious there are many shorter local footpaths, enabling you to discover some of the hidden beauty of the Cotswolds and its rolling countryside.
