The Smithy was formerly an old blacksmiths forge and has just been made available to provide holiday accommodation for up to four guests. With lots of character, including beamed ceilings, solid oak flooring and a woodburner, The Smithy perfectly combines old fashioned charm with modern comforts, providing light open plan accommodation.

Located in a quiet small coastal hamlet, Gunwalloe is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Lizard Peninsula which is stunningly beautiful at any time of the year. The area is renown for its pure natural beauty with rolling hills, secluded coves and rugged coastal paths, making it ideal for a seaside holiday or for those who enjoy cycling or walking (the coastal path is just a short stroll from the cottage).

Children can play at the adventure playground and the local gastro pub is very family friendly and within easy walking distance from the cottage. Fishing Cove is approximately a ten minute walk and Church Cove is at the end of the road and only three minutes in the car (the photos show the local beach). Here you have all the ingredients for a relaxing holiday by the sea - simply fill up on food in Helston (seven minutes away) on route and you need never get in the car again.

The Lizard peninsula is full of beautiful sandy coves such as Poldhu and Kynance and charming seaside fishing villages including Porthleven and Cagwith. The Helford and Gillan Estuarys at the east end of the peninsula are great for canoeing and sailing and you can hire boats from both. Helston offers entertainment with Flambards theme park and a cinema and Falmouth, St Ives and Penzance are within a forty minute drive. There are also numerous gardens, country houses and art and craft galleries to visit and larger attractions including the Eden Project and the Tate at St Ives.
