The Salt Loft is a one bedroom apartment that is perfect for couples who want to visit the beautiful unspoilt ancient port of Fowey, on the South side of Cornwall. Conveniently located in the heart of this delightful town, yet tucked away, this stylish one bedroom holiday apartment provides a real home-from-home, in a secluded spot just a stone's throw from the quayside.
Located on the second floor of a character conversion, this bright, airy and contemporary property, has south-facing windows and is reached via a hidden alleyway just yards from most of Fowey’s excellent facilities. It is centrally located, yet private and the perfect place for those looking for a quiet, relaxing break.
Once a smugglers' haven, Fowey is today one of Cornwall’s most popular and beautiful spots which is just six miles from the Eden Project and within easy reach of Mevagissey and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. It is an ancient little town at the mouth of a sheltered, oak-fringed estuary (much of the land is owned by National Trust), where medieval and Tudor cottages line the narrow little streets. Such a charming little town that inspired the novelist Daphne du Maurier, who made it her home.
Today the town has so much to offer everyone with all the ingredients for a stylish, relaxing holiday. Here you can enjoy a wide selection of good restaurants, pubs and cafes, along with being able to stock up on provisions from the butcher, the fish shop (with great selection of fresh caught fish), the baker and even a candlestick maker!
Right on your doorstep are sandy coves and a stunning coastline just waiting to be explored on foot. There are also lovely walks inland across rolling countryside or for those feeling less energetic, take a boat trip up the creek or to nearby Polperro and Mevagissey, where you can sit back and enjoy the views and wildlife.
For those who want to explore the whole area, there is a car ferry at one end of the town which links motorists with routes to Polperro, Looe and the coast beyond. At the other end of town is a foot ferry which takes passengers across to the charming village of Polruan.

Two flights of marble stairs lead to The Salt Loft's front door where inside you will find....
Spacious open-plan living area with two dormer windows and two Velux roof lights.
Kitchen/dining area with Gas hob, fridge with freezer compartment, oven/grill, microwave, blender, whisk, electric kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery, glassware and a table with four chairs.
At the end of this “L” shaped room is a living area with two tub chairs, a television, video, DVD player, radio/CD player, tables with lamps providing soft lighting, a large sofa, and a pine chest of drawers.
Along the corridor is the bathroom with a shower over the bath and the bedroom, lit by two Velux roof lights (with blinds), with double bed, bedside units and triple wardrobe.
Additional information: Laminate flooring is laid throughout. There is a washer/drier, iron and ironing board in a large service cupboard. Prices include Gas, electricity and a parking pass. Wi-Fi access in the bedroom if you pay a small fee to the local Inn. Babies are welcome.
