Talehay is home to five lovely holiday cottages which sleep between two to four guests in each cottage and offer a high standard of both comfort and cleanliness. They are situated a mile from the village of Pelynt, near Looe in Cornwall, amidst delightful unspoilt open countryside and approached down a quiet lane.
The spectacular Cornish coastline with its secluded sandy coves and breathtaking views is just three miles away and Talehay makes a perfect place to spend a relaxing beach holiday or to use as a base for exploring this wonderful area. What ever time of the year, Talehay provides the opportunity to escape from the pressures of everyday life - a place where you can relax and recharge your batteries in the peace and quiet of the Cornish countryside.
The ancient fishing port of Looe has a large sandy beach bordered by a promenade and distinctive Banjo shaped pier. The hub of the town is the busy working harbour with fish landed and sold on the market daily. There is a good selection of pubs, cafés, restaurants, shops, banks and building societies.
The quaint fishing village of Polperro is a pretty place to visit with its tangle of former fishermen's and smugglers cottages working their way down to the harbour, small shops and a good selection of pubs and restaurants.
Cornwall's gentler climate; influenced by the Gulf Stream, is ideal for an out-of-season break. The ground breaking Eden Project, many National Trust properties (including Lanhydrock, and Antony), Lost Gardens of Heligan, National Marine Aquarium, The Camel Trail, Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor are all within twenty five miles of Talehay.
