Rosemary Cottage is a charming three hundred year old Cornish Holiday Cottage that has been modernised and refurbished to provide a high standard of holiday accommodation. It sleeps up to six guests in three bedrooms with all rooms being comfortable, elegant and modern whilst still retaining lots of character and lovely original features.
Located in the pretty village of St Mabyn, Rosemary Cottage is ideal for those wanting to explore North Cornwall. St Mabyn sits on the edge of Bodmin Moor and is just four miles from Wadebridge. A short stroll from the cottage will take you to the heart of the village with its Post Office/village stores, The St Mabyn Inn - a 17th Century pub offering food every night and the lovely old church, St Mabena, which dates back to medieval times.
North Cornwall is renowned for its diverse landscape with dramatic rugged coastline, fishing villages, sheltered bays, spectacular sandy beaches and moorland villages. Whether you enjoy walking, cycling, surfing, playing golf, sailing or visiting historic houses and gardens - there is something in this beautiful region for everyone.
The National Trust has many properties in the area to visit with the closest being Lanhydrock, along with Trerice and Cotehele which are just a short drive away. Gardens lovers can enjoy a day at the extraordinary Eden Project which is approximately forty minutes by car and The Lost Gardens of Heligan, near St Austell are half an hours drive. Eden has excellent cycling trails around the old china clay pits and the famous Camel Trail offers easy level cycling.
Sailing and water skiing lessons can both be taken in Rock and Padstow (which is a twenty minute drive from the cottage) Alternatively, try cycling from Wadebridge to Padstow along the Camel Trail where you can secure your bike, hop on the ferry across to Rock for lunch, and then return by ferry for the cycle back to Wadebridge and a well earned cream tea!

Downstairs
Open plan kitchen/dining room which is well equipped with built in double oven, electric hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge freezer.
Sunny utility room which houses the washing machine and separate drier and leads through to a downstairs shower room and WC.
Dining area with a long farmhouse pine table which seats six comfortably. A pine dresser holds all the crockery and glassware.
Large living room with lots of books, puzzles, games and DVD’s to enjoy, along with a television with built in DVD and Freeview and a separate CD player to play your favourite music on. Although there is full oil fired central heating, the efficient wood burner will warm the cottage quickly and provides a cosy atmosphere.
Upstairs
One double with king size bed, ample wardrobe space and dressing table.
Two twin bedded rooms (one with beds 5’8” long, suitable for up to mid-teens) and one with standard twin beds.
Large bathroom with bath, hand held shower, washbasin and WC.
Outside: To the front of the holiday cottage is a pretty walled garden with access to a lockable garage for storing bikes, golf clubs, bodyboards etc. To the back of the cottage is a delightful raised decked patio, complete with table and chairs surrounded by a well stocked cottage garden herb border. Sun loungers, deckchairs and a barbecue are also provided.
Additional information: All hot water and central heating included within the price along with a welcome basket of logs for the wood burner and bedlinen (linen for cot not supplied). Please bring your own towels (bath and beach).
