Rose Cottage is a cosy traditional Cornish holiday cottage that accommodates two guests and is perfect for couples. It is located in the little hamlet of Newtown, which is located just a mile outside the popular ancient coastal town of Fowey in South Cornwall.

The harbourside town of Fowey has lots of unspoilt charm and sits on the estuary of the River Fowey, surrounded by beautiful countryside. The town and surrounding area is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and provides plenty of fantastic walks both around the coastline and through rolling countryside. Fowey has a number of excellent restaurants and pubs, along with a good selection of small independent shops selling everything from fine art to clothing and gifts to fresh fish.

There are plenty of things to do in and around Fowey. Not only do you have beautiful beaches (the nearest one is one mile from the cottage) and pretty little coves where you can enjoy a relaxing day, but you can also enjoy outdoor activities such as fishing, golf and sailing. You can take a trip by river to Lerryn or a ferry to Polruan or Mevagissey or walk the coastal path to the pretty fishing village of Polperro for lunch. Alternatively, hire a boat or canoe and explore the estuary which is a haven for wildlife.

Fowey itself has a number of attractions including Fowey Aquarium, St Catherine's Castle, Fowey Museum, Fowey Regatta in August and its connections with Daphne Du Maurier. Further afield, the Eden Project, Heligan Gardens and the National Trust property of Lanhydrock are all within easy reach.
