This delightful holiday cottage is situated in the tiny hamlet of Cockwells, just off the main A30.
Riverside Cot is a traditional, cosy Cornish cottage built in 1880 of granite and stone which provides a high standard of accommodation for two people to relax and enjoy a memorable holiday. With its open beams and granite fireplace this cottage is a Cornish gem.
It is located conveniently close to all transport links and is within walking distance of a convenience store/post office and pub.
If you enjoy walking, there are plenty of public footpaths to explore locally as well as the South West coastal footpath. The National Cycle path route, “the first and last trail” is close by.
The cottage is ideally situated for discovering the many delights that West Cornwall has to offer. Picturesque St Ives with its narrow cobbled streets, Blue Flag awarded beaches and the renowned Tate Modern is only five miles away. Hayle with its golden sands and surf is only four miles. Go west and within a ten minute drive you arrive at Mounts Bay, recently voted one of the most beautiful bays in the world, home to the magical fairytale castle of St Michael's Mount which can be reached by foot via a causeway or if the tide is in by ferry boat.
Continue on and you arrive at the gateway to west Cornwall, Penzance - with its many shops, cafés and restaurants catering for all tastes.
If you wish to explore further afield, Newlyn, Mousehole and the Minack Theatre are a short drive. Lands End is just fourteen miles and to the east is the Eden project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan.
Riverside Cot is ideal as an all year round holiday rental whether you choose to tour, relax or simply want to escape for some peace and quiet!

One bedroom sleeping two guests in a king-size bed.
Open plan lounge/dining room with living flame Gas fire, television (with freeview) and DVD player.
Fully fitted kitchen with Butlers sink, granite worktops, electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and separate tumble dryer.
Downstairs bathroom offering bath with shower over, basin and WC (please note that the bath is a studio size bath and 1500mm in length).
Outside: Granite steps lead you up to the fully enclosed private garden with garden furniture.
Additional information: Guest controlled gas central heating throughout. All fuel and power is included in rent. Bed linen and towels included in rent. Off road parking for one car. Sorry non smokers only. A Cornish complementary welcome pack is provided upon arrival.

6/8/11 A very comfortable little cottage with everything we needed.Easy access to all places of interest.Lots to see & do even if the weather isn`t so good.The White Hart at Ludgvan is highly recommended for its beer,food and character,not too far to walk although the walk back was a bit of a struggle!Thank you Jan & Dave for all the extras which made our stay perfect.Hope to come back.
12/8/11 The cottage is fantastic,everything we need & more!The location is perfect for exploring & it`s a bonus having a great real ale pub a short walk away.The public footpath across the fields to St Michael`s Mount was a great find,especially the sectionthat takes you through the RSPB reserve,saw lots of tiny toads when we were there.We will certainly come back to the cottage again if we are back in Cornwall & will be recommending it highly.Thanks to Jan & Dave for their wonderful hospitality,the cottage has it all!
