This pretty double-fronted holiday home has been imaginatively redesigned to create spacious living accommodation, without losing its integrity and original charm.

Accommodation and facilities:

From a sheltered porch, the side door opens onto a slate-floored hallway with plenty of space for buckets and spades, walking boots or golf clubs.

Stairs rise to the upper levels and doors lead to the cloakroom and kitchen. Two bay windows allow the morning sun to flood into the kitchen and the front door opens onto the pretty cottage garden. The kitchen is well equipped and has inspired many a feast using fresh local ingredients available from the shops in the town. There is plenty of space and the dining table extends to seat eight to ten guests comfortably.

Upstairs, views of the harbour and into Pont Creek can be enjoyed from both the bathroom and the large, open plan sitting room where you can watch the boats sail by. 

The light airy sitting room is partially divided by the staircase. At one end there are comfortable chairs and a large L-shaped sofa - the perfect place to curl up with a book by the gas coal effect fire, watch a DVD or just stare out the window at the sea. The sofa becomes a comfortable double bed if you require further sleeping accommodation. Meanwhile the other half of the room provides a generous space for children to spread out their toys and a small writing desk.

At the top of the house are two sunny bedrooms, which both have views of Place and the church. In the double bedroom large windows look onto the sheltered roof terrace, whilst the twin has the best view of the River Fowey in the house.

From the hallway a smoked-glass door gives access to the roof terrace, which is one of the few places in Fowey to catch the early evening sun.

Additional information: Please be aware there is a short flight of steep steps approaching this property and it is set over three floors, so it may not be suitable for everyone.
