Manor Cottage is located a few miles west of Liskeard in South Cornwall and enjoys a beautiful rural countryside setting. Botelet Farm is home to two delightful holiday cottages sleeping between two to five guests and also two yurts (Mongolian tents) which are available between Easter and September for those who enjoy the 'great outdoors'.
The farm is hidden at the end of a narrow lane set amongst two hundred and fifty acres of rolling farmland between Herodsfoot and Couch’s Mill - an area that forms a pretty patchwork of fields and woodland, capped by the Neolithic Hill Fort of Bury Down. The surrounding meadows and hedgerows are full of wild flowers which are grazed by cattle and sheep - a beautiful sight in the spring (as you can see by the photo).
Staying at Botelet farm offers the opportunity to enjoy a non fussy healthy lifestyle amongst, art, history and natural beauty. The owners have gone to great lengths to sustain the future of living at the farm with repairs being carried out using traditional and recycled materials; coppicing timber from the hedgerows to be self sufficient with logs and planting around a thousand trees and hedging plants each year. Organic matter is composted and keeps the vegetable garden happy. Electricity is green tariff and in the future the owners aim to provide most of the energy via solar and wind turbine.
Visitors and educational groups are welcome to visit the scheduled monument of Bury Down. The Hill Fort with prominent Neolithic and Iron Age remains has been carefully maintained in association with the Countryside Stewardship Scheme and English Heritage and there are outstanding views which span from Dartmoor to Rough Tor and Dodman Point.
There is plenty to do and see in this beautiful area with the pretty fishing villages of Looe and Polperro within easy reach. The popular yachting town of Fowey and the dramatic landscape of Bodmin moor are also just a short drive and the area has no shortage of wonderful beaches and beautiful walks to enjoy. Alternatively, why not be pampered at the cottage and enjoy a therapeutic massage or reflexology in your own cottage.

Manor Cottage, is a delightful 17th century Grade II listed Cornish Long house, situated just across the cobbled courtyard from the main farmhouse (offering bed and breakfast). It has a private walled garden to the rear and lots of original features including flagstone floors, floodlit underfloor well, oak beams, open fireplaces and cloam ovens.
Accommodation sleeps 5 + baby and comprises:

A family bathroom and separate shower room.
Dining room with piano and French doors to the garden and a separate wide door into the sitting room providing a feel of one large room when open.
