Polmark House offers a choice of self catering holiday accommodation that is in a stunning position overlooking Harlyn Bay.

This is the perfect coastal retreat for friends or families who want to relax by the sea.  Padstow is just two miles away, golden sands can be reached within a two minutes walk and there is an outdoor heated pool, along with a cosy bar and sun lounge - all the ingredients for a wonderful holiday!

Harlyn Bay is surrounded by an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the picturesque North Cornish coast. Nearby is the quaint old fishing village of Padstow where you can explore the harbour and interesting little shops before enjoying a meal at one of many restaurants, bistros or pubs. You can also walk to Padstow along the coastal path, drive or use the bus which stops just two minutes from Polmark House, meaning you can enjoy all the facilities without having to use the car.

Eating out locally ranges from the carvery or a la carte of the Harlyn Inn (two minute walk) where occasionally you can enjoy live music.  Alternatively within a fifteen minute walk you are at St.Merryn with its pubs, wine bar, restaurants and takeaways.

For something a little more special why not try Rick Steins, Jamie Oliver's, Margot's and many other excellent restaurants.

There are plenty of wonderful coastal walks to enjoy in the area and cyclist too can enjoy the estuary views from one of many vantage points along the Camel Trail. This leads inland from Padstow along the Camel Valley through the neighbouring towns of Bodmin and Wadebridge. Following the route of a disused railway line it is perfectly flat, and ideal for all the family to enjoy (cycles can be hired either from Padstow, Wadebridge or Bodmin).

Within the surrounding ocean water, surfing and water sports await you, and on dry land you can partake in golf (two of the southwests championship courses within a short drive, along with many others), tennis, walking, fishing and much much more.

Alternatively relax on one of the popular beaches at Rock, Polzeath and Daymer Bay or visit: the City of Truro with its cathedral; St Ives with its interesting little shops and galleries; National Trust houses and gardens (including the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Trelissick and Llanhydrock) or the famous Eden Project (forty minutes drive) to name just a few.
