St Margarets is a comfortable, fully equipped, spacious holiday chalet that can accommodate up to six people in three bedrooms. It affords stunning views of St Ives Bay and is located within easy walking distance of the beautiful golden sands of Hayle Beach. The Chalet is managed by the owners who wish to offer you an enjoyable and pleasant holiday.
Located on the Riviere Towans site (an area of special interest, open from the 1st April to the end of October), St Margarets is in an elevated position with views over the Golden sands. It is surrounded by a grassy area where you can sit and relax or take a short stroll (just a few minutes) to the fantastic clean golden sandy beach, with a lifeguard service present during the summer months. The Chalet is situated at the top of the sand dunes and there is parking below the chalet which is accessed via a short path and steps (the chalet would not be suitable for very elderly or infirm visitors).
Riviere Towans site covers an expanse of forty acres of beachfront and sand dunes and there are a number of play areas around the site. Next to the site is a small supermarket, a pub with nightly entertainment and a fish and chip shop. The shops and cafes of Hayle are also close by.
Apart from miles of golden sandy beach, this area is also popular for surfing, sand sailing and kite flying. The diverse nature of the area also makes it popular with bird watchers. Walkers too will enjoy the area with the South West Coast path passing by the site and there is also easy access to the coastal path both on the North and South Coasts within a short drive.
The Cornish way cycle trail is a short distance away and the area also offers easy access to West Cornwall's 300 miles of coastline, much of it being owned by the National Trust.
There are a good selection of restaurants, pubs and take-aways nearby and St Ives is just a ten minute drive with its many galleries (including the Tate) and interesting little shop. A little further are the towns of Penzance, Helston and Newquay; along with Flambards theme park, Geek seal sanctuary and Poldark mine.
Within a one hour drive is the county town of Truro, Landsend, The Lizard, Mousehole, Goonhilly downs, Mevagissey, Bodmin and many gardens to visit including The Lost gardens of Heligan and The Eden Project.
