Reviews and Testimonials for Harbour Hill View
Sept 2011: We’ve had a wonderful relaxing week. The weather has been great; the house is very comfortable with everything you could possibly need. We’ve enjoyed eating lots of fresh local fish and would definitely love to return sometime.

A lovely stay in such a lovely house. Fabulous walks here, Fowey and Padstow. Lost Gardens stunning. And the best kitted-out kitchen ever!
Aug 2011: I just wanted to congratulate you on such a LOVELY little place you have in Mevagissey. We had a FANTASTIC time there. We had sunshine every day and spent 4 days on the beach at Gorran Haven. The house was very cosy, and we loved sitting in the conservatory at night, watching the flash of the light-house. We'd LOVE to go back again next year. Thank you for accommodating us, and congratulations on such a lovely place.
July 2011: We had a lovely time. Your home was a lovely base for us to go exploring! Mevagissey is such a lovely place – we hope to come back again!
June 2011: A fantastic mother-daughters trip for our first trip to Cornwall. Your lovely cottage became our home-away-from-home as we explored gardens and hidden coves, made friends at The Fountain and didn’t destroy the rental car while learning to drive Meva’s streets on the left! Feast Week was so much fun – hopefully a new annual event for us! Thank you!

A great internet find by Dad, the cottage is very homely and well-equipped, and the children loved their room in the roof. We had a great time, relaxing around Meva, visiting the Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Port Isaac (coincidentally on a day they were filming Doc Marten!) Tintagel, Fowey and Lanhydrock House. Ate lots of ice cream and pub meals at The Fountain Inn and Sharksfin in Meva and The Ship Inn at Pentewan (all good).
May 2011: Had a great week. Cottage well-equipped, everything you might need, from kitchen appliances to kids’ games. Recommend the walk to The Ship at Pentewan for Sunday lunch (book in advance), the Camel Trail, Caerhays beach and The Fountain for fish and chips (and beer)!

We’ve had a lovely holiday. We can hardly believe it’s been a year since our last stay. The cottage is such a good base for exploring Cornwall on warm days and a cosy home from home on cooler days. Best bits this time: discovering Gorran Haven and Caerhays beaches as both are great for rockpooling and safe with little ones; fish ‘n’ chips in the Harbourside Tavern; and playing a family game of Monopoly. Thank you from us all.
March 2011: Fantastic to come to Meva and stay again. A real treat for the mind, body and soul. What a delightful surprise – a little haven in amongst the hustle and bustle of daily life.
August 2010: Great time here, thanks! The kids wanted to stay another week!

The house was even better than expected; it is beautiful and makes you feel at home. The view is as pretty as the house. The only bad thing is that I can’t stay longer.
July 2010: Really lovely, much-needed holiday, which we have all thoroughly enjoyed. Cottage lovely, comfortable, well-equipped, great info leaflets and a view I could look at all week and never get bored. Spent many years holidaying at Portmellon and Mevagissey as a girl and have loved bringing my children here to find little changed and hundreds of memories evoked on every corner (and walking up every hill!) Favourite things: the fish stew at The Fountain was FANTASTIC (as was the beer!); beach and lunch at Cakebreads in Gorran Haven; steam railway at Bodmin; rock pools at Portmellon. Thank you!

Fantastic house, fully equipped. Beautiful weather. Saturday’s fireworks fantastic. All in all, we’ve had a great week. Now, doesn’t it all go fast when you’re having fun! Really enjoyed our stay; thank you.
June 2010: What fantastic weather for our first visit to Cornwall. Just the holiday we needed, combined with British sunshine! Meva was a fantastic base to explore the surrounding area, including the Eden Project, Heligan, Plymouth and St Austell, to name but a few. We were fortunate enough to be here for Feast Week, with lots of added entertainment on the harbour in the evenings. Have managed to work off the Cornish fayre – ice creams, cream teas, bar meals at The Fountain and fabulous food at Salamanders – through the walking and regular uphill trots! We really enjoyed our stay at Harbour Hill View. Thank you.
April 2010: Your cottage is so comfy and well-equipped, especially the revamped kitchen. There’s so much space, we’ve really felt at home. Mevagissey was fab: deliciously fresh fish ‘n’ chips, great pubs and charming little shops. We’re all going to be sad to leave; there will be tears without a doubt – and that’s just from me!
Feb 2010: We had more time this time so we had a more relaxing time. Spent more time in Meva and very peaceful at night. We saw a seal in the harbour, and we saw Mars and the Eddystone Lighthouse from the back bedroom window – where else could you say that? We shall return.
Hi. thank you for your interest in staying in harbour hill view. we love lovely friendly mevagissey and hope you will too, finding it a real home from home.
