Hen Beudy is ideal for couples and is the annexe to Parcmaenllwyd Farmhouse which is located just outside the picturesque village of Llansaint, overlooking Carmarthen Bay on the Carmarthenshire coastline. In an enviable position, Hen Beudy is surrounded by fields and enjoys uninterrupted views of the sea, making it a fantastic place for a romantic retreat by the sea or to use as a base from which to explore this beautiful area with its many attractions and outdoor activities.
Llansaint is a quaint little village, famous for its cockles that for many centuries, have been harvested from Carmarthen Bay. The village offers two pubs which are just a five minute stroll from Hen Beudy - The Kings Arms offering real ales and good wholesome evening meals and The Joiners a traditional Welsh public house where you can play traditional pub games including pool and darts.
The seaside village of Ferryside is seven minutes away by car and a pleasant drive along the coast road. Here you will find The White Lion pub, The Ferry Cabin restaurant/café where you can enjoy great fish and chips, a post office (with cash machine) and a general store for stocking up on provisions. There is also a railway station and bus stop, along with the River Towy Yacht Club at the local beach which offers holiday membership and a slipway, storage/changing and bar facilities. The Three Rivers hotel sits on the edge of the village and has a swimming pool and health suite.
Carmarthenshire, known as The Garden of Wales, offers a whole host of attractions with something to suit all ages. It has beautiful rolling countryside, wonderful beaches and many beautiful gardens including the National Botanic Gardens of Wales, Dinefwr Park, Aberglasney and Norwood Gardens.
There are an abundance of historic sites throughout the county with castles including Kidwelly Castle and the magnificent Carreg Cennen Castle. The Georgian town of Laugharne on the estuary has its own castle, the poets famous boat house and museum and plenty of good restaurants. It was once the home of Dylan Thomas and worthy of a visit.
Pembrey Country Park is located nearby with eight miles of wonderful golden sands fringed by sand dunes, providing an array of facilities and attractions. Extensive forest and grassland border the dunes providing the perfect place for a picnic and barbecue whilst enjoying the panoramic views across Carmarthen Bay and beyond to the Gower and Pembrokeshire coast. There is also a ski slope, pitch and putt courses, crazy golf, adventure and play areas, miniature train rides and GoApe adventure area for those seeking excitement. Cyclists can enjoy twenty two kilometres of the Millennium Coastal Path/Cycleway which takes you to places of interest including the National Wetlands Centre of Wales with species of ducks, swans, geese and flamingos to name just a few.

This converted five star annex accommodation perfectly combines traditional features such as old oak beams, with modern conveniences and luxurious fittings to provide stylish holiday accommodation.

Fantastic sun roon with floor to ceiling windows and full width folding doors that lead out onto the garden and barbecue area where you can enjoy the wonderful sea views.
Open plan kitchen/lounge with three seater sofa bed, flatscreen Sky television, DVD player, radio/CD player, coffee table, books and games.
The fully equipped kitchen area has breakfast bar, stools, dishwasher, washing machine/tumble dryer, electric oven, ceramic hob, extractor fan, fridge, freezer and microwave.
Vaulted bedroom with super kingsize bed where you can lay and take in the beautiful views over Carmarthen Bay. The Zip and link bed provides a flexible sleeping arrangement and can also be made up as two large singles. The bedroom has bedside tables, dressing table, wardrobe and stool/chair.
Bathroom with bath, shower, sink and WC.
Outside: There is a small walled and gated front garden with bench and table. To the rear is a large garden overlooking Carmarthen Bay with decked patio area, patio furniture and a barbecue.
Additional information: The property has wheelchair access with all rooms on the same level and there is also a fully tiled luxury wet room with WC, shower and basin that can be accessed via the sun room (by arrangement). There is plenty of off-road parking. Secure bike storage. Short breaks available except during high season (two night minimum). Underfloor heating throughout. Free Wi-Fi and Sky. Lynda the owner, is a Reiki practitioner and teacher and can arrange special breaks for up to four people on request. Anthony is a keen fisherman with many years experience in river/still water fishing and can organise permits, provide transport, accompany and guide one or two people upon request.
