Isla View is a luxuriously appointed, beautifully furnished, traditional self catering holiday home situated on the banks of the River Isla in Perthshire, Scotland. It is in a lovely location and benefits from open views over the garden and river to wooded hills and heather hillside.
The house faces south towards the river and has fields on both sides and large pine trees at the back, providing a sheltered position. It is in a lovely peaceful location but also has the added advantage of having a great pub within walking distance and a wealth of things to do and see in the area. Wildlife is abundant and from the garden you are likely to see roe deer, buzzards, red squirrels and occasional fishing ospreys.
For those who enjoy fishing, the cottage has the added attraction of being able to fish in the River Isla which runs along the bottom of the garden.
Glenisla is one of the beautiful Angus glens. It rises slowly from farmland in the south to the majestic peak of Glas Maol (1068m,3,504ft) in the north which is the highest peak in Angus within the Cairngorms National Park. This beautiful area of Perthshire is right at the very heart of Scotland and approximately an hour and a half’s drive from Edinburgh and two hours from Glasgow. East Perthshire offers a varied landscape from dramatic mountains of Glenshee and the top of Glenisla in the Cairngorms National Park to rolling fields of fruit and quiet glens. Yet within an hours drive of Isla View are Balmoral, St Andrews and Pitlochry.
The nearest towns & villages to Glenisla are Alyth and Blairgowrie to the south, Pitlochry to the west and Braemar to the north. The area offers a wealth of outdoor activities to enjoy including:high and low level walking; fishing; cycling; golfing; horse-riding; mountain biking and even ski-ing at Glenshee.

The Glen Clova Hotel is a lovely surprise at the top of the Glen, serving great food and drink and a warm welcome. There is a childrens area with trampoline, swings etc."

"We came here for Christmas, have been here for nearly a fortnight and have really enjoyed it. What a beautiful spot, fantastic scenery, breathtaking walks to be had at every turn and big hills within easy reach. The house itself is lovely & very well appointed. We put the kitchen to the test by cooking a 14lb turkey with all the trimmings and it worked beautifully, everything we needed was to hand. The Christmas Tree, decorations & bowl of Christmas goodies was a lovely touch and much apprecitated. A memorable Xmas 2007!"
