The Black Barn offers contemporary holiday accommodation for up to three guests and is centrally located between Berkhamsted, Chesham and Tring and easily accessible from major motorways and also London.
Berkhamsted is a vibrant town set in a valley of the Chiltern Hills with a history going back beyond Saxon times. It is surrounded on all sides with fields and rolling countryside which is widely accessible to the general public. Nearby is the Grand Union Canal and beautiful Ashridge National Trust park. This delightful town certainly has plenty to offer including excellent restaurants, pubs, cafes, boutiques, delis, supermarkets, banks, an original 1930's cinema, The Rex, French and Italian markets at various times of the month plus a market every Saturday.
Served by the west coast line, Berkhamsted station connects to London Euston in just thirty five minutes and trains run three times an hour. Fifteen minutes driving connects the town with the M1 and M25 and the airports of Heathrow and Luton are approximately an hour's drive away.
Chesham lies in a steep sided valley twenty eight miles northwest of London. Assimilating the old and the new, Chesham is a successful market town. It has a pedestrianised High Street featuring numerous specialist individual shops, alongside national retailers. The Elgiva Theater, green-flag award winning Lowndes Park and the open-air heated swimming pool at the Moor Gym and Swim are just some of the many public amenities available in the town.
Surrounded by the Chilterns, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Chesham is a great place to begin exploring the Chilterns countryside and is the starting point for many wonderful local walks. Close by is Chesham Vale with an excellent pub called The Black Horse and a little further on along the same road is Cholesbury Common with another wonderful pub called The Full Moon.
The Black Barn is centrally located between the market town of Berkhamsted, Chesham and Tring. Tring is a small market town in Hertfordshire and lies on the northern edge of the Chilterns. Tring is excellent for walking and riding with good access to The Ridgeway National Trail. The Black Barn is also ideal for those who enjoy cycling, having direct access onto a very popular and beautiful national cycle route and also having good storage facilities for bicycles
If you are looking to escape from London to the country for a break or wanting to stay in a central location where you can explore this lovely part of England and possibly visit London, then The Black Barn may be the perfect place for you.
