Little Thatch is a quintessential 'chocolate box' thatched holiday cottage that not only has roses around its front door but also has a little stream running outside with resident ducks - simply perfect!
The front of the cottage has a clipped miniature box hedge and provides a lovely place to sit and relax on a summers evening whilst enjoying the last of the sun with a glass of wine. It is also perfect in the winter with no better way to escape the chilly weather than curling up in front of the log fire with a good book in this cosy little cottage hideaway - you could even try your hand at roasting chestnuts!
Little has changed in this lovely village over the years and today it is still a quiet and tranquil place that lies within beautiful countryside on the borders of Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire and just five miles from Oxfordshire. There are just thirty or so houses and this peaceful village and its beautiful surrounding countryside provides a delightful place for a relaxing holiday or break.
The village is within easy reach of Stowe Landscape Gardens, Waddesdon Manor and Canons Ashby along with Silverstone Circuit and Towcester Race Course.
This is a good base for visiting The Heart of England with its history and numerous places of interest. Why not visit the Cotswolds, Stratford upon Avon or the city of Oxford or explore the lovely countryside dotted with pretty little villages and National Trust properties and gardens.
There are a good selection of country pubs and restaurants locally along with towns and cities where you can enjoy shopping such as Milton Keynes, Bicester Village Shopping Outlet Centre, Northampton and Oxford.

We have been on the road for nearly five months - including many cottages and B & Bs - here and in France and USA. The cottage and its location are equal to any we have stayed in during our travels over the years

Our 5th visit. We have spent the whole time SNOWED IN!! So very lazy, but warm and comfortable. Better than a ski-ing holiday in the Alps!
