Llangain Farmhouse and Barn - Self catering holiday cottage in Hay-on-Wye, Herefordshire, Powys, The Brecon Beacons, Wales - Sleeps 8+4
Llangain Farmhouse and Barn sits in an elevated position on the Herefordshire/Wales border and offers the perfect tranquil retreat to escape the pressures of every day life. A thousand feet high up on a hillside, this newly restored farmhouse and converted barn has spectacular views of the Wye Valley and beyond, extending for some seventy miles!
The farmhouse nestles into the hillside around a sheltered courtyard within an enclosed garden of half an acre which is well supplied with garden furniture, providing the perfect place for relaxing and taking in the incredible views!
Restored and furnished to a high standard using Herefordshire oak in doors and windows and stone flags from a local quarry, the accommodation provides a perfect mix of original features and modern comfort.
Both the farmhouse and barn are newly tiled with stone from the area. There is parking within the boundary of the property but those who prefer not to drive up the track may park off the road down below.
Things to do: You can walk in all directions from here and Hay-on-Wye (second hand book centre of the world) is just three miles to the west. The Brecon Beacons National Park is half an hour away.
