Bullen's Bank Cottage is located on the Herefordshire/Wales borders, 1000 ft up on a hillside, offering the most spectacular views over the Wye Valley and beyond for some 70 miles!
The cottage is approximately 300 yards up a steep country track (which is shared with Llangain Farmhouse) in isolated farmland, providing the perfect place to escape the pressures of every day life! For larger groups, both Bullen's Bank Cottage and Llangain Farmhouse may be rented simultaneously - please enquire with the owner.
The cottage is about 200 years old and was restored in the mid '80s. The garden extends round the property, allowing breathtaking uninterrupted views. There is a ha-ha wall with a 6-foot drop on one side.
Local activities: The area is excellent for walking including the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons National Park. Hay-on-Wye, the second hand book centre of the world is just three miles to the west, well supplied with eating-places. Swimming and canoeing on the Wye are excellent and pony trekking is available from several centres near Hay and in the Llanthony Valley. Windsurfing, sailing and boating are available at Llangorse Lake. The Black Mountains Gliding Club is near Talgarth and there are microlights at Shobden Airfield. There are parascending courses on Hay Bluff too.
Those who prefer not to drive up the steep track to the property can easily park off the road at the bottom though the owners have recently had quite a lot of work done on the track.

Sitting room (1) with wood-burning stove, storage heater, TV, VCR, Chesterfield sofa recently restored, two armchairs and also a dining table and chairs.
Second sitting room which has a wood-burning stove, storage heater, sofa-bed, a dining table and chairs and astonishing views from its many windows. There is a hi-fi system for CDs and tapes.
Newly fitted kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, food processor, tumble dryer and washing machine.
Bathroom with bath, shower, basin and WC.
Upstairs:
Three small bedrooms - 1 with twin beds leading to 1 double bedroom and another twin bedroom, all with fitted carpets.
The garden is well equipped with garden furniture, picnic tables, benches, soft reclining chairs and barbecue.
