Penrhyn Cottage nestles close to Anglesey’s stunning coastline and is a perfect place for couples, families or friends who are looking for a holiday by the sea. The setting is ideal for walkers, coast lovers, bird watchers and sea sports enthusiasts and also those who want to simply relax by the sea.
Cemaes Bay is an area of outstanding beauty and the most northerly village in Wales, with some of its land owned by the National Trust. The bay is popular due to its two lovely Blue Flag sandy beaches: Traeth Bach known as the little beach and Traeth Mawr, known as the big beach.
The un-spoilt and beautiful coastal path, which stretches for some 125 miles can be picked up from the village. The path passes through diverse landscapes which include a mix of dunes, farmland, coastal heath, cliffs, salt-marsh, foreshore and some small pockets of woodland.
If you enjoy golf, then you won’t be disappointed with the choice of golf courses available in Anglesey. There are eight golf courses within a short distance of each other with the nearest course to Cemaes Bay being the Bull Bay Golf Club (Clwb Golff Porth Llechog).
If you enjoy water sports or are a keen sailor, there are a good choice of maritime pursuits along the coastline, the main centres being Traeth Bychan near Red Wharf Bay, Rhosneigr, Beaumaris and Holyhead. There are also many charter boats that will take you sea fishing offshore. Other sports and activities you can participate in are climbing, cycling and horse riding.
